Last Night's Formal Hall Sunday 17th October
Sunday's Formal Hall menu is by tradition, a roast dinner with a traditional hot sweet and an unadventurous starter. Past attempts to 'brighten-up' the dinner have met with disapproval :-(
Saturday's Formal Hall Dinner 16/10
Friday and Saturday were very busy days in the kitchen, with our chefs working flat out to deliver some wonderful meals. Both the William Pitt Seminar Dinner on Friday, and the Matthew Wren Society Lunch on Saturday required a great deal of time, planning and preparation. Neither were our wonderful front-of-house staff spared any rest, with both events requiring the best wine, China, silver and College cutlery.
Matthew Wren Society Lunch
All Members who inform the College that they have included Pembroke as a beneficiary in their Will become members of the Matthew Wren Society. Established in 1997, it gives the College the opportunity to thank legacy pledgers for their generosity, during their lifetime. An annual society lunch is held in October and Members are most welcome to bring a guest with them.
