Last night marked the first proper Formal Hall of Term and being a Wednesday, that meant a four-course Feast Night!

Last Night's Undergraduate Matriculation Dinner

Last night, we celebrated the Matriculation of our new undergraduates with a special dinner in Hall. As our Matriculating class began their academic journey at Cambridge, so to did they experience their first College Formal Dinner, one of many to come throughout their time at Pembroke.

Emily and Will's Birthday Dinner Saturday 2nd October

On Saturday evening, we celebrated the birthdays of Emily and Will, two of the nicest people you could wish to meet;-) Emily is a grad student here at Pembroke, whilst Will is at Trinity, but helps to teach with Pembroke's International Programmes Department.

Film Noir/Hitchcock was to be the theme of the evening with Emily commenting:

"The general joke is that I love Paris and Will loves Istanbul, so a sort of Franco-Turkish food theme if possible?"

Last Night's Freshers Formal Hall Sunday 3rd October

Vehicular chaos ensued at the back gate, most of the roads in Cambridge came to a halt, and hundreds of seemingly lost sheep wandered the court yards of the city’s colleges. Yes, it was Fresher’s arrival weekend, and I like many well informed citizens gave Cambridge a wide berth until early this morning. By early last night, most of our Freshers were settled in and ready for their first taste of a Pembroke Formal Hall. At 7:15pm 150 new students arrived at the Hall and took their places for dinner.
